Dove si trova il confine tra le cose mutabili e le cose che non possono essere cambiate? Non è forse questo confine esso stesso mutevole? Le nostre vite sono ampie distese di desiderio, oscillano tra fantasmi e minacce di ciò che non può essere e promesse di ciò che può essere sognato, creato e conquistato. Ma fino a che punto il desiderio è una forma di potere? Come lo attuiamo? Chi sono i suoi soggetti?
Il nostro desiderio
rifiuta,
è cosmico,
getta ombre,
è errore,
sono corpi affamati,
è pelle,
è virus,
mobilizza,
è comunità,
contiene molteplicità,
è remix,
è orizzonte,
lega,
sopravvive.
“CAN’T BE, WILL BE” è uno spazio libero per riflettere sul potere
generativo e politico del desiderio attraverso l’arte. Artist* di ogni
genere sono invitat* a presentare un contributo culturale a questo progetto. Insieme, vogliamo creare una mostra che verrà presentata a Monza presso la F.O.A. Boccaccio 003 in occasione del B2M Festival.

possibile con immagini, video, materiale audio o simili all’indirizzo

• “Can’t Be Will Be” is meant to be an impulse for inspiration, not a specification of content.

CAN’T BE, WILL BE
Call for Artists
“There is nothing I love more than discontent with the changeable and nothing I hate more than deep discontent with the inalterable” – Bertolt Brecht.
Where lies the border between mutable things and things that cannot be changed? Isn’t this border mutable itself? Our lives are expansive landscapes of desire, swaying between ghosts and threats of what cannot be, and promises of what can be dreamed of, crafted, and conquered. Yet, to which extent is desire a form of empowerment? How do we enact it? Who are its actors?
Our desire
refuses,
is cosmic,
throws shades,
is error,
is craving bodies,
is skin,
is virus,
mobilises,
is community,
contains multitudes,
is remix,
is horizon,
bonds,
survives.
“Can’t be, will be” is a free space to reflect on the generative and political power of desire through the means of art. Artists, performers, video filmmakers, poets, and writers are invited to submit a cultural contribution to this project. Together with the participants, the organisers will create an exhibition, that will be presented in Monza at F.O.A. Boccaccio 003 on the occasion of the B2M Festival.
